Student transfer opportunities expanded today after the Kansas Community Colleges and Kansas Independent Colleges announced initiation of a Global Transfer and Course Articulation Agreement that paves the way for students to seamlessly transfer from any Kansas Community College to any Kansas non-profit college or university.

He is a man with two names who has studied mathematics, philosophy, and art. He has had numerous essays published in publications like “The New Criterion.” Until four months ago, he and his wife and four children, all under the age of 13, were living on a 28-foot sailboat off the coast of Florida. Now, he and his family live in land-locked Sterling, KS where he spends days in front of Sterling College students studying Art & Design as well as working on his own art.

Coming from Rural Hall, NC to end up majoring in Theatre though he had never been onstage or worked backstage for a theatre production.

Sterling College welcomed eight new faculty members to campus for the fall semester. Classes begin on Wednesday, August 17.
“We are proud to welcome these full-time faculty and clinical instructors to the Sterling College family, and we are looking forward to how these individuals will engage and interact with the students we are here to serve,” said Dr. Ken Brown, vice president for academic affairs and dean of the College.

Sterling College assistant professor Dr. Glenn Butner’s second book, “Trinitarian Dogmatics: Exploring the Grammar of the Christian Doctrine of God”, released on July 19. Butner will host a book launch event on Thursday, August 25 at 2:30 p.m. in Heritage Hall inside Cooper Hall on the Sterling College campus. The event includes a presentation by Butner and is free and open to the public. Copies of the book will be available for purchase.

Carrillo has previously served as a young adult pastor and associate pastor at the Christians by the Bay Church in Hercules, Calif. In his role at Sterling Carrillo will be facilitating and encouraging spiritual growth on campus and he will be providing leadership to the Office of Spiritual Life, a sub-department of the broader Office of Student Life.

Sterling College student Hannah Slate of San Angelo, Texas, was awarded a 2022 Maud Wyatt Recognition Scholarship from the Kansas Independent College Foundation. KICF awards up to 20 individual scholarships, one for a student at each Foundation member institution. Slate is a Christian Ministries major with a 4.00 GPA at Sterling.
