2023 Love Sterling Call for Projects
The Sterling College Office of Student Life and the City of Sterling are excited to announce the adoption of City-wide Community Cleanup Day as a part of 2023 Love Sterling!
The 13th Annual Love Sterling event will be on Saturday, April 22, and the group is looking for projects to help with. Sterling College will spend the day serving the community of Sterling by helping community members with various projects, including painting, landscaping, deep cleaning and more.
The deadline for project requests is Friday, April 14. Visit www.sterling.edu/love-sterling to request a project or to volunteer. Projects, donate supplies or for any questions, please contact Jordan Waite through email jordan.waite@sterling.edu or phone at (620) 278-4232.
Community Cleanup Day will commence on Friday, April 21, at 4 p.m. and conclude Saturday, April 22 at 4 p.m. There will be curbside pickup from your residence! Beginning April 17, our neighbors should begin placing their items for disposal at their curb. Any items placed at the curb after Friday, April 21 at 4 p.m., will not be picked up. Those interested in volunteering specifically for Community Cleanup Day should meet at the SW corner of Garfield and Broadway at 3:45 p.m. Friday, April 21, and 7:45 a.m. Saturday, April 22. We will pair you with volunteers who have trucks/trailers for hauling. Tires, batteries, refrigerators or freezers, lawn equipment with fuel or oil residue, paint, and other items which don’t normally go in the trash will not be allowed. Please call City Hall with questions at 620-278-3423.
