Sterling College welcomes the community to kick off the Christmas Advent season at its Share the Light Christmas Tree Lighting on Sunday, December 4. The event will begin at 7 p.m. on the east side of Cooper Hall. Sterling College students, faculty and staff, as well as the public are invited to this free event on East Cooper Lawn. 

Sterling College recognized its latest class of Marketplace Excellence Awards Winners during its 2022 Homecoming Weekend. The Excellence in Education Award was awarded to Sheila (Bailey) Burgess ’82 and Robert John ’74.

The Excellence in Education Award recognizes a Sterling graduate who demonstrates the dedication, commitment and loyalty to teaching and service to community that reflects the rich heritage of the education department.

The Theology and Ministry Department at Sterling College will present its annual Fall Theology Conference on October 27-28 on the campus of Sterling College. This year’s conference is themed “The Christian and Imagination,” with Dr. Jay Smith, president and Bridger professor of ethics at Yellowstone Theological Institute. The public is invited to attend all presentations. 

Beginning on Thursday, Oct. 6, alumni will travel back to Sterling College to experience the Homecoming 2022 festivities, many of which the community is invited to attend. 

On Thursday, Sterling College Theatre will present the opening of Irving Berlin’s “White Christmas” in Culbertson Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. Registration, tickets and additional information for all Homecoming events can be found at sterling.edu/homecoming.
