Sterling, Kan. – The Sterling College Lady Warriors Started off with a bang in the 2011 Sterling College Invitational Friday afternoon, as they rolled over the Indians of Haskell Indian Nations University three sets to none.

Liberty, MO – The Sterling College Warriors got off to a good start against the William Jewell College Cardinals on Saturday evening, forcing a turnover on each of Jewell’s first two drives. Sterling was able to convert those two turnovers into six points off of two Doug Dunn field goals before William Jewell would score 33 unanswered points to win 33-6.
Sterling College announces new employees to the SC family.
Maggie Anderson joins SC as assistant director of admissions. Maggie has an undergrad music degree and an MBA from George Fox University. She has been an admissions training specialist for American Intercontinental University.
Sterling College is proud to announce that the Athletic Training Education Program has been given the Continuing Accreditation award by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education. The athletic training program has met all of the nationally-recognized Standards for Entry-Level Athletic Training Education, to receive the highest award of reaccreditation for ten years. The CAATE commends Sterling College for its “commitment to the advancement of quality education in Athletic Training,” as well as its “dedication to the preparation of highly qualified Athletic Training professionals.”
Sterling, Kan. – In a hard fought match at the Sterling College Soccer Stadium this afternoon, the SC Men’s Soccer team played to a draw with the SC Soccer Alumni in a game that was well matched and fun to watch. Both teams would find the net in the game, playing to a 2-2 final.
Sterling, Kan. – Women’s Soccer Alumni returned to campus today to play in the annual Alumni Match against the 2011 Sterling College Women’s Soccer team. The game gives the SC alumni a chance to relive their glory days and test this year’s team while the game gives the Lady Warriors a chance to play in a game situation before their first match. This year, it was easy to tell which of the two teams on the field had been practicing, as the Lady Warriors defeated the alumni by a score of 10-0.

The Warriors will compete in 30 regular season competitions and two exhibition competitions with the first regular season game at home on November 1st at the Gleason Center against Langston University.
