Sterling’s Keynote Convocation features Dr. Glenn Butner
The first convocation of the Sterling College academic year took place on Aug. 18, in Culbertson Auditorium in Spencer Hall. Keynote speaker Dr. Glenn Butner, associate professor of theology and ministry, delivered his speech “Christian Education in the World of AI” as students and employees gathered to celebrate the start of classes.
Butner has served as a faculty member at Sterling College since 2016. He also serves as director of the honors program at Sterling.
Butner holds a Ph.D. in Systematic Theology from Marquette University, an M.Div. from Duke Divinity School and a B.A. in Economics and Religious Studies from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
