Once again, The Princeton Review has named Sterling College to the Best Regional Colleges: Midwestern list for 2016. This is the fifth year out of the past six years that the College has been named to the list that is based off of institutional data and student surveys.

Students at Sterling College are always excited to find mail from home in their campus mailboxes. The man delivering that mail, Brian Foster ’75, was honored for 10 years of service to the College. During his ten years, he has processed 953,440 pieces of outgoing mail and has sent and received thousands of packages. Foster sends and receives packages for Sterling from the United States Postal Service, United Parcel Service, FedEx Express, FedEx Ground and DHL, receiving an average of 300 packages per week. He also manages two student workers.

Sterling College graduates who want to become Certified Public Accountants in Kansas have a new graduate opportunity. The College has signed an articulation agreement with Emporia State University offering automatic acceptance of Sterling accounting students who meet the requirements of the agreement.

Sterling College announced a partnership with YouVisit, a leader in the field of virtual campus tours. Prospective students and families can now take a virtual campus tour from home. The new Sterling College campus tour site includes 15 stops around campus where visitors will be able to hear a short description of each location, watch videos, view photos and browse particular spaces with a 360-degree view.
Landis comes to Sterling College from Berean Academy in Elbing, Kansas, where he has served as assistant superintendent.

As Sterling College moves forward with strategic planning and growth, David Landis Jr. ’88 of Newton, Kansas, has been appointed vice president for administration and institutional initiatives. Landis will lead several areas that currently report to President Scott Rich.
