Students at Sterling College are always excited to find mail from home in their campus mailboxes. The man delivering that mail, Brian Foster ’75, was honored for 10 years of service to the College. During his ten years, he has processed 953,440 pieces of outgoing mail and has sent and received thousands of packages. Foster sends and receives packages for Sterling from the United States Postal Service, United Parcel Service, FedEx Express, FedEx Ground and DHL, receiving an average of 300 packages per week. He also manages two student workers.

“We are grateful for Brian and all of his service. His knowledge of postage is a wonderful resource to us, and he is always helpful in answering questions. He smiles every time I see him and is full of funny stories to help brighten the day. I’m thankful Brian is at Sterling College,” said Michelle Hall, business office controller.

Foster has a long lineage of Sterling College involvement. His family connections date back to the 1800s, and he and his wife, Donna ’76, are both graduates of Sterling. Their son, Bobby, began his freshman year at the College this weekend.

Five additional employees were honored for five years of service to Sterling College.
