Sterling College named to The Princeton Review Best in the Midwest
Once again, The Princeton Review has named Sterling College to the Best Regional Colleges: Midwestern list for 2016. This is the fifth year out of the past six years that the College has been named to the list that is based off of institutional data and student surveys.
“The marketplace for higher education is increasingly competitive. To be named as a Best Regional College by The Princeton Review for our fifth year is a testament to our faculty and staff and the work they are doing with our students. We view this list as another measure of our success as we continue to navigate the needs of our students and position them favorably for the workforce,” said Scott A. Rich, president.
Sterling College’s numbers continue to hold strong, seeing another point increase in fire safety with a score of 66. The Princeton Review also mentioned ratings for Professor Interesting and Professor Accessible, scoring 83 and 87 respectively. For the third year in a row, Sterling’s other ratings include academics 74, financial aid 81, quality of life 73, and green 60*. The ratings are based on institutional data obtained from Sterling College in 2014-15 and/or student survey data. Scores are on a scale of 60-99; 60* means that the institution did not provide enough data by the deadline to count in the ratings. The criteria for each category is listed on The Princeton Review’s website at http://www.princetonreview.com/college/college-ratings.aspx.
