No one knows a college as well as its alumni. That is the theory Sterling College used this summer in hiring three alumni into its Admissions Office. 
Carol Ludwick and Adedrea Smart ’12 were recently hired to fill two positions on campus. 
Tom Borrego was hired to fill the director of planned giving vacancy. Borrego began working for Sterling on July 9.
Across the nation there is a shortage of special education teachers, and Sterling College is beginning an online adaptive special education program to help Kansas schools fill this need. 
The Kelsey Scholars list for the 2011-2012 academic year has been released. A total of 117 students were named to the list. 
The Art and Design Department is growing with the addition of three concentrations available to students beginning in the Fall Semester. 
It is easy to spot a freshman in a college cafeteria as they wander around trying to learn the ropes. This fall, every student at Sterling College will look like a freshman as they learn to navigate the newly expanded and renovated cafeteria and menu options.
The Dean’s List for the spring of 2012 semester has been released. Criteria for the Dean’s List include the completion of at least 12 graded credit hours and a cumulative and semester GPA of 3.5 or better.
On Saturday, May 12, 2012, 139 students received their diplomas at the College’s 120th annual commencement ceremony.
