Community Band performs on Tuesday
The Sterling Community Band will be playing with the Sterling College Flute Choir on Tuesday, Dec. 4 at 7:30 p.m. The concert will take place on the campus of Sterling College in Upper Wilson in Wilson Hall and last approximately one hour. The public is invited to attend this free concert.
The SC Flute Choir, directed by Jennifer Kirk, will open the show with a selection of Christmas music. The band, consisting of Sterling College students and community members, will play “First Suite in E Flat” by Gustav Holt and selections from Frank Ticheli. They will also debut a piece by Logan Cain titled “Hope.” Cain is a junior at Buhler High School and recently began composing and arranging music. This is his first work to be performed. The Sterling Community Band is under the direction of Daniel Cathey.
