The Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference released their All-KCAC Women's Basketball selections Monday night following the 2009-10 championship game at the Gleason Center on the Sterling College campus.

As part of a renewed commitment to the Champions of Character program, sponsored by the NAIA, the KCAC has recognized six Sterling College, fall sport, student-athletes for their commitment to the five Champions of Character core values. These core values are Respect, Responsibility, Integrity, Sportsmanship, and Servant Leadership. The awards were given out on Saturday at half-time of the men's basketball game.
Sterling College sophomore Megan Patrick was named the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference "Player of the Week" after helping lead the Lady Warriors to wins over Friends University and #21 Kansas Wesleyan University last week.
Patrick, a 5'10 guard, averaged 28.5 ppg. and 4.5 rrg. in Sterling's two conference victories last week.
STERLING, Kan. - Sterling native Gabe Dierksen has signed to play football for the Sterling College Warriors in 2011. Dierksen, a 6-6, 274 pound offensive lineman, will transfer to Sterling College from Hutchinson Community College. Gabe is the son of Fred and Susan Dierksen who were both athletes at Sterling College. Fred played football for the Warriors while Susan was a three sport letter
Sioux City, Iowa - Britany Gasper starred in her final game as a Sterling College Lady Warrior, scoring 29 points in the 103-66 loss to top seeded Northwestern College (Iowa). Northwestern was on fire from the field in the game, shooting 0.576 from the field and 0.545 from the three point line. Point Lookout, MO - The Sterling College Warriors battled and nearly beat the Eagles of Oklahoma Wesleyan University in a two day marathon that spanned Thursday night and Friday morning. In the overtime game, OWU's Sadiel Rojas single handedly lead the Eagles to victory scoring 42 points and pulling down 23 rebounds in the 81-82 loss for Sterling. Zach Goodrich led the Warriors in his final game for Sterling College, scoring 19 points and pulling down three rebounds to cap off a phenomenal career.

Sterling, Kan. - The Sterling College Warrior baseball team opened up the 2011 Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) regular season with three wins over the McPherson College Bulldogs, a first year baseball program. Sterling won one game on Friday in McPherson 3-0 and won two games in Sterling on Saturday 10-0 and 11-1. The two will face off in the fourth game of the home and home series today at 5:00 pm in McPherson.

Valley City State is the Dakota Athletic Conference (DAC) Tournament Champion with an overall record of 23-8 and is currently ranked at no. 19 in the NAIA Division II Women's Basketball Coaches' Top 25 Poll. Sterling is the four seed in the fourth bracket and will play on Wednesday, March 9 at 9:15 pm at the Tyson Events Center in Sioux City, Iowa. Oklahoma Wesleyan has a record of 27-4 and is currently ranked no. 7 in the NAIA Division II Men's Basketball Coaches' Top 25 Poll.
