Hillsboro, Kan. - Sophomore Sara Doll led the way for the Lady Warriors at the Tabor Invitational with a 18th place finish. The Lady Warriors had a 1:42 split between their #1 runner and their #5 runner leading them to a fourth place team finish out of eleven full teams. On a long sloppy course times were extremely slow for all competitors but place wise the women did very well.
Ottawa, Kan. - The Ottawa University Braves defeated the Sterling College Warriors in an epic battle in Ottawa, Kansas by a score of 34-39. The Warriors were unable to get a crucial first down in the fourth quarter that allowed the Braves to have the ball with enough time remaining to engineer a game-winning fourth quarter drive.
Sterling, Kan. - Cuyler Prichard would score two goals and the Warriors would defeat York College 3-0 on Saturday afternoon in Sterling. The Warriors were highly efficient in the game, putting six of nine shots on target and scoring three.
Sterling, Kan. - The Lady Warriors Soccer Team beat York College in Sterling on a late second half goal that gave made the final score 2-1. The game was close even though the Lady Warriors outshot York 23-8 in the game. Kylie Yates scored the game winning goal for the Lady Warriors.
Sterling, Kan. - Sterling College Volleyball came from behind on Tuesday night to beat Kansas Wesleyan University in a five set thriller at the Gleason Center in Sterling, Kansas. After losing the first two sets, Sterling rallied behind the strong play of setter Adrian Gonzalez, outside hitter Sara Steria, and outside hitter Brooke Denton to win three straight sets.
Ottawa, Kan. - Sterling College senior, Jake Bowser, won the Ottawa University Fall Invitational this past Monday and Tuesday at Eagle Bend Golf Course in Lawrence, KS. Bowser was the leader after a 1-under par 69. His solid second round play led to a 2-over par 72, which gave him a one shot victory. "This is Jake's first college victory. Emporia, Kan. - In only the fourth meet of the season the Sterling College Warrior Cross Country program did some record setting on Friday at the Emporia State Planet Sub XC Invitational. Five total athletes either added their name to the record board or made a move up the record board, while a total of eight athletes set personal records. With 202 women running in the women's race and 234 on the men's side and on a beautiful and fast course the Warriors took advantage of the competition to do what they had been talking about for weeks now.
Sterling, Kan. - The Lady Warriors of Sterling College battled the Bethel College Threshers but came up short on Tuesday night. The final set score does not show how close the match really was as the Lady Warriors lost one set to three.
