Sterling College will unveil the latest campus master plan as part of a reception for the SterlingNOW Campaign on March 8, 2018, at Studio 96. The come-and-go reception will be held from 5-7 p.m., with a short program starting at 6 p.m. Sterling College Trivia will be held at 5:45 p.m., with prizes for the winners. Complimentary hors d’oeuvres will be served. The public is invited to attend the event, with RSVPs encouraged but not required. Sterling College will host the presentation “The Murder of Emmett Till,” given by Dr. Dave Tell, the co-creator of the Emmett Till Memorial Project. Till was a 14-year-old black boy who was murdered for whistling at a white woman while visiting his family in Mississippi in 1955. The program will take place Monday, Feb. 26, 2018, at 7 p.m. in Heritage Hall in Cooper Hall on the campus of Sterling College, and the community is invited to attend the free event. The program is made possible by the Kansas Humanities Council with additional funding provided by the Lewis H.

Dr. Kneeland Brown, president of Trinity Academy in Wichita, will speak at the Sterling College Peacemakers Convocation on Friday, Feb. 9, at 10 a.m. As part of the College’s Spiritual Emphasis Week, Brown will present his speech, “Let Justice Roll Down,” in Culbertson Auditorium in Spencer Hall on the Sterling College campus. The event is free and open to the public.

The lovable gang based on Charles M. Schultz’s comic strip “Peanuts” will find their way to Culbertson Auditorium Feb. 1-4 as Charlie Brown, Lucy, Sally, Linus, Snoopy and Schroeder entertain audience members of all ages. “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” will show at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 1-3, and at 2 p.m. on Feb. 4. The public is invited to attend as Assistant Professor of Music Mark Clark directs the cast in this family-friendly musical.
