Wichita, Kan.- A late goal lifted the Friends University Falcons over the Sterling College Lady Warriors on Saturday in women's soccer. The Warriors were unable to find the net, despite hitting the target ten times compared to Friends' three. Friends' Linday Lopez put in a goal on a cornerkick from Breana Jones in the 88th minute to give Friends the 1-0 victory.
Sterling, Kan. - The Sterling College Lady Warrior Volleyball Team was beaten on Wednesday night by KCAC powerhouse Tabor College in four sets. Tabor won the opening set 25-20, the third set 25-17, and the fourth set 25-18. Sterling won the second set 26-24. Tonight's game was the final regular season home game for lone Sterling senior Brooke Denton. Denton made it a night to remember, playing extremely well for the Lady Warriors.
Sterling, Kan. - With a 26-7 victory over the Bethany College Swedes, the Sterling College Warrior football team strenghted their position in the top half of the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) standings by improving to 4-3 in KCAC play. Sterling used tough defense and a surprising 364 yards of total offense to defeat the Swedes at Smisor Stadium in Sterling.
Sterling, Kan. - On Tuesday night in the Gleason Center, the Sterling College Warriors Men's Basketball team will open up the 2010-2011 basketball season with an exhibition game against Kansas State University - Salina at 7:00 pm. Sterling will look for their first win in a season in which the KCAC coaches picked the Warriors to finish second in the KCAC.
North Newton, Kan. - The Sterling College Warriors Men's Soccer team won their final game of the 2010 season on Saturday over the Bethel College Threshers 3-1. Sterling used 11 shots to score three goals and finish the season on a high note with a win.
North Newton, Kan. - With a 4-3 win over the Bethel College Threshers, the Sterling College Lady Warriors Women's Soccer team clinched a tie for third in the KCAC final regular season standings. SC used 15 shots with eight finding the frame to score four goals and win a close game over Bethel.
Sterling, Kan. - The Sterling College Warriors Men's Basketball Team opened up their 2010-2011 campaign with a home victory in an exhibition game over Kansas State University Salina 82-35. Sterling's defense was the story of the game, forcing KSU Salina into 26 turnovers. Bench scoring was another big factor, as SC outscored the Wildcats 50-13 from the bench.
