Sterling College has hired Dr. Ken Brown of Sterling, Kansas, as vice president for academic affairs. In this role, Brown will be the senior administrator for academic programs at the College and will serve on the President’s Cabinet.

Joan Ehresman will welcome guests to campus as the new administrative receptionist and office manager in the west entrance of Cooper Hall. She serves as the receptionist, coordinator of the web and campus calendars, maintains the Warrior Hub and serves as assistant manager of guest services.

This year’s resident directors include Renard Ballard ’14, Jon Earle ’11, Aundraya Garcia ’14, Hannah Lambert ’14, John Summitt. Eddie Adesodun ’14 will join the staff as assistant resident director for Kilbourn Hall.

The Ross and Fern Freeman Lecture Series for Servant Leadership will host Nancy Ortberg, director of leadership development at Menlo Park Presbyterian Church, October 30 at 10 a.m. on the campus of Sterling College. The event, held in Culbertson Auditorium, seeks to educate individuals on the various values and applications of leadership by highlighting the servant leadership attributes present in others.
