The list of projects for Love Sterling is growing, and teams of volunteers are getting ready for the annual day of service. In order to complete all of the projects, Sterling College students are looking for supplies to borrow on the day of the event, April 28.
The students are looking for hand saws, wheelbarrows, a weed eater, a chainsaw, ladders, paint scrapers, paint brushes and a tiller.
Shelby Stowe was selected for a research experience at Valparaiso University.

Sterling College junior Shelby Stowe of Bentonville, Arkansas, was one of 12 math majors from across the United States selected for a research experience for undergraduates at Valparaiso University. Under the guidance of Dr. Alex Capaldi, professor at Valparaiso University, Stowe and two other students worked to create a mathematical tool that would analyze the effects of a White Nose Syndrome, a fungal disease affecting the population of bats in North America.
Freshman Adam Moore finished third in IPDA debate at the Pi Kappa Delta Comprehensive National Tournament

Freshman Adam Moore of Hutchinson, Kansas, finished third in IPDA debate at the Pi Kappa Delta Comprehensive National Tournament March 14-17. With competitors from 82 schools across 25 states, the PKD tournament was hosted at Tennessee State University. Overall, Sterling College finished eighth in the nation in large entry team sweepstakes.
Sterling College will welcome Dr. Jeff Myers for the spring Ross and Fern Freeman Lecture Series for Servant Leadership.

Sterling College will welcome Dr. Jeff Myers, president of Summit Ministries, on Friday, April 6, 2018, for the spring Ross and Fern Freeman Lecture Series for Servant Leadership. The Freeman Lecture Series speaker will deliver his speech at 10 a.m. in Culbertson Auditorium on the campus of Sterling College. The public is invited to attend.
