SC Theatre presents Tartuffe as Spring Play
"Tartuffe" a classic and well-loved French comedy is being performed by the Sterling College theatre department on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, March 3, 4 and 5 in Culbertson Auditorium on the Sterling College campus.
Moliere's "Tartuffe" is a story that is set in seventeenth century Paris, and focuses on how a good deed done by Orgon, played by Houston Smith of Kingman, Kan., goes horribly wrong when Tartuffe, an imposter who uses false piety for his own gain (played by Marcus Mull of Great Bend, Kan.,) takes advantage of him. All the while Orgon's family tries to stop him fearing they will lose all their possessions.
There will also be a Sterling College Theatre Workshop for high school theatre and English classes. The workshop will be March 5 at 9:30am, and there will be a free matinee showing of Tartuffe at 1pm. To reserve a place at the workshop please email Sasha Hildebrand at shildebrand@sterling.edu

"Tartuffe" directed by Senior Associate Professor Gordon Kling runs Thursday, Friday, and Saturday March 3,4 and 5, at 8 p.m. Tickets are available at the door. The box office opens at 7 p.m. and doors open at 7:30 p.m. Ticket prices for adults are $5. Tickets for students, children and seniors are $3.
