Dr. Rachel Danley

Dr. Rachel Danley recently called Scotland “home,” but is now returning to her first home in Kansas. Her parents met and married while attending Sterling College, and she was born in Lyons. After growing up as a pastor’s kid in rural Iowa, she served in college ministry with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship for 13 years where she grew a love for God, His Word, and students from around the world. From this experience, God led her to commit herself to the academy long-term and to delve deeper into Scripture through the biblical languages in her master’s programs. In her time beyond the classroom, Rachel enjoys traveling around the world, immersing herself in a good story, works of art, walks in nature, and being with her niece and nephew. Rachel earned her B.A. in Education from the University of Northern Iowa; she has an M.A. in both New Testament and Biblical Languages from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and recently completed her Ph.D. from the University of Aberdeen.
