Sterling College announces Dr. Roy Millhouse as its commencement speaker
Dr. Roy Millhouse, associate professor of biblical studies and chair of the Theology and Ministry Department, will be the speaker for the 2022 Sterling College Commencement ceremony. The ceremony will honor the Class of 2022 and will take place on Saturday, May 7, at 9:45 a.m. in the Gleason Physical Education Center on the Sterling College campus.
Millhouse has served the College since 2014 in the Theology and Ministry Department. He previously taught at Baylor University and the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. He has also served as a pastor in Arkansas and Texas.
“The opportunity to give this incredible group of students one last challenge is a singular honor. After getting to know so many so well over the past few years, we feel like we are saying goodbye to family. We have watched this class battle through the adversity of our times with great determination, and we look forward to seeing how God will use them in the years ahead,” said Millhouse.
Millhouse holds a Ph.D. in Religion-Biblical Studies from Baylor University, an M.A. in New Testament from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and a B.A. in Biblical Languages from Calvary Bible College. Millhouse and his wife, Mikki, have three children: Benjamin, Jillian and Matt.
