Sterling College to hold special chapel on Martin Luther King Jr. Day
Sterling College will present a special chapel in remembrance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on Monday, Jan. 17, at 10 a.m. The event will be held in Culbertson Auditorium.
"We, people of so many cultures and backgrounds, are so excited to hold this chapel and be able to meet with a spirit of unity and peace because of the work done by individuals like Dr. Martin Luther King. What a beautiful thing to come together as a community to commemorate the work of this individual who desired for God's creation to learn that we all have a place at His table. We all have a righteous place—this should teach us to treat each other with genuine dignity and love," said Estephany Moncada '19, interim associate chaplain and diversity officer.
The chapel will feature readings by Sterling students, a time of prayer and a time of reflection.
