Dr. Sean McDowell to speak at Sterling College April 7
Hosting one of the top 100 apologists in the nation at The Ross and Fern Freeman Lecture Series for Servant Leadership, Sterling College has invited the public to hear Dr. Sean McDowell speak on April 7 at 10 a.m. in Culbertson Auditorium in Spencer Hall. McDowell, an assistant professor in the Christian Apologetics program at Biola University, will bring a message “True for You But Not True for Me” to campus. The event is free and open to the public.
“Dr. McDowell is a talented communicator and popular among college students, so we are delighted that he is coming to speak to our campus. Ross and Fern Freeman have certainly enriched the student experience by supporting this lecture series which has brought so many talented and wise servant leaders to campus to speak truth to our students,” said David Landis, vice president for administration and institutional initiatives.
McDowell is a gifted communicator with a passion for equipping the church, and in particular young people, to make the case for the Christian faith. McDowell earned a Ph.D. in Apologetics and Worldview Studies from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2014. He is the author, co-author or editor of over 18 books.
The Freeman Lecture Series seeks to educate individuals on the various values and applications of leadership by highlighting the servant leadership attributes present in others. The lecture, which is free and open to the public, will be held in Culbertson Auditorium in Spencer Hall. Those interested in attending the lecture should RSVP to Erica Foss in the Office of the President at 620-278-4213 by Friday, March 31.
