Wise named assistant professor of chemistry
Randi (Morris) Wise ’13 will return to her Alma Mater, Sterling College, as a faculty member in 2017. Beginning in August, Wise will join the Department of Natural Sciences and Mathematics as assistant professor of chemistry.
“We are excited to have Randi join the faculty at Sterling College. She is very knowledgeable in her field and has experience in both teaching and research. Her knowledge of Sterling College and familiarity with her fellow science faculty members gives her an advantage as she transitions into her new role,” said Ken Brown, vice president for academic affairs.
Wise graduated with honors from Sterling College, earning a bachelor’s degree in biology and chemistry and completing minors in Christian ministries and mathematics. She continued her education at Kansas State University where she is currently completing her doctoral work in biochemistry. She recently published a research article in the scientific journal Breast Cancer Research and Treatment and is currently working on her thesis titled “The Role of the Secretory Pathway in Metastatic Breast Cancer.”
