Sterling College receives HLC reaffirmation of accreditation

Tuesday, July 12, 2016

Sterling College announced that the Higher Learning Commission reaffirmed the accreditation of Sterling College. This action is a result of years of reporting and analysis, which culminated in an accreditation visit from the Higher Learning Commission’s peer review team in April.

“I am delighted to announce Sterling College’s accreditation has been reaffirmed. For over 125 years our institution has produced creative and thoughtful leaders who understand a maturing Christian faith. To have the Higher Learning Commission see that we are successfully completing our mission speaks volumes to the work of our faculty and staff. It takes each employee working as a team to fulfill our mission,” said Scott Rich, president.

The Higher Learning Commission peer review team found sufficient evidence that Sterling College met all criteria as required by the HLC and recommended the Institutional Actions Council approve and continue the accreditation of Sterling, which was confirmed on June 27.
