Sterling College inducts new members into Alpha Chi Honor Society
Sterling College held a ceremony to welcome 10 new students into the Alpha Chi National College Honor Society on Friday, April 22. Alpha Chi extends membership to applicants that are in the top 10 percent of the junior and senior classes.
“Membership in Alpha Chi is an incredible honor, and the history of Alpha Chi at Sterling College goes back many years, with the first members being inducted in 1922. These students are, then, a part of the legacy of excellence at Sterling,” said Daniel Julich, honors program director.
Juniors inducted into Alpha Chi’s elite group of students include Jed Beachy of Hutchinson, Kansas; Micah Black of McPherson, Kansas; Brandi Fairbank of Cimarron, Kansas; Austin Mettling of Udall, Kansas; Mykela Riedl of Hoisington, Kansas; and Jewel Yoder of Partridge, Kansas. Seniors inducted include Kristen Flowers of Meade, Kansas; Sarah Julian of Yoder, Kansas; Louise Tanking of Netawaka, Kansas; and Rachel Ropp of Hutchinson, Kansas.
