Seventh annual Love Sterling calling for projects

Monday, March 21, 2016

Spring cleaning can be a breeze with the help of Love Sterling volunteers. The seventh annual Love Sterling will take place on April 30, and community members who need help with landscaping, painting or any other tasks are encouraged to submit a project request for this special community service event.

“Love Sterling has turned into a wonderful tradition here at Sterling College. It emphasizes the importance we place on servant leadership and gives our students, faculty and staff a chance to get to know the members of our community. The people of Sterling have given so much to the College—this is just a small way for us to repay them,” said event coordinator Erica Foss, executive assistant to the president for Sterling College.

The deadline for requesting a project is Friday, April 22. Visit www.sterling.edu/love-sterling to request a project or to volunteer. Projects can also be requested by phone by calling Erica Foss at 620-278-4213. To donate supplies and for any questions, please contact Foss.

The annual Celebration Dinner after Love Sterling will be held at Sterling Lake with music and games beginning at 5 p.m. A free dinner for the Sterling community will be served at 6 p.m. by Chartwells, the College’s dining service.
