Sterling College professor exhibits at Manifest Gallery
The talent of David Stenulson, assistant professor of art and design at Sterling College, will be put on display when his painting is shown at Manifest Gallery in Cincinnati, Ohio, this month as part of the show “Monolithic.” Stenulson’s painting, which was one of just 15 selected from 240 entries from over 80 different artists, will be on exhibition from Nov. 6 to Dec. 4.
“I am very proud of the work David is doing. To get into a show with Manifest is not only a wonderful opportunity for him but a great example for our students, exposing them to paths and practitioners in the fine-artists contemporary world. David is a phenomenal painter and we are blessed to have him teaching our painters in the department,” said Daniel Swartz, chair of the Department of Art and Design.
Stenulson’s painting, titled “School Dance,” stands 48 inches by 58 inches and will be on display in the “Monolithic” exhibition. Manifest Gallery’s “Monolithic” collection is comprised of artwork from around the world that engages the viewer’s sense of physical, intellectual and emotional scale.
