Sterling College welcomes alumni to residence life staff
Students at Sterling College will be greeted by new and familiar faces as they move into dorms this August. This year’s resident directors include Renard Ballard ’14, Jon Earle ’11, Aundraya Garcia ’14, Hannah Lambert ’14, John Summitt. Eddie Adesodun ’14 will join the staff as assistant resident director for Kilbourn Hall.
“I’m really excited about this year’s resident life staff. They are a close-knit group already, as many of them attended Sterling College together, and have a great team dynamic. We are starting the year of strong with fresh ideas for dorm programming and incorporating a lot of the traditional favorites,” said Tina Wohler, vice president for student life.
Ballard served as assistant resident director for Kilbourn Hall last year and will move to resident director for the 2015-16 school year. His assistant resident director, Adesodun, served as a resident assistant while a student and graduated with a degree in art and design: graphic design and photography. Adesodun has been working as a graphic specialist at Tarrant County Community College in Fort Worth, Texas.
Earle, resident director for Campbell Hall, graduated from Sterling with a degree in Christian ministries: missions. He returns to the College from Steiger International, where he served as a missionary in Europe and New Zealand.
Garcia will serve as resident director in Evans Hall. She graduated with a degree in Christian ministries: missions and served as a resident assistant while a student at Sterling. Over the last year, she served as an intern at First Presbyterian Church in Colorado Springs in the global missions department.
As resident director of McCreery Hall, Sterling native Hannah Lambert is returning to campus after graduating with a degree in communication and media arts: public relations. Lambert has served at Eastminster Presbyterian Church in Wichita.
John Summitt will continue as resident director of Douglas Residencies, starting his third year this fall.
