Will Best, Ryan “Pete” Manely and Clay Thomas were honored for a decade of service to Sterling College at the annual Kickoff Banquet on Thursday, Aug. 8.

Best began his career at Sterling College as a full-time professor and has continued serving the College as an adjunct. He has taught in a variety of departments: language and literature, history and theology and ministry.

Sterling College has hired Matt James ’13 and Brandon Ponchak to fill the roles of admissions counselor and men’s soccer coach respectively.

James will work with prospective students interested in athletic training, exercise science, health science, sports management and athletics.

Students returning from summer vacation will be greeted by new faces in the offices of Sterling College. Four new employees have begun working for the College over the past month including Ashley Barnes ’12, Kendra Grizzle, Sara Hiatt and Courtney Huber ’13.

Sterling, Kan. – Mark Clark, Sterling College assistant professor of music, is celebrating his 39^th year of performing in local theatres across central Kansas. Beginning his professional career at Music Theatre of Wichita in 1975, Clark has participated in multiple shows at MTW, the Crown Uptown, Stage One, Cabaret Old Town Theatre, Wichita Children’s Theatre, enCompass Center for Creative Arts and other local theatres.
