Sterling College Words and Music to feature work of the Gershwin brothers

Tuesday, January 17, 2017

Celebrating the work of George and Ira Gershwin, Sterling College music students will present the College’s annual Words and Music concert on Friday, Jan. 20, and Saturday, Jan. 21, at 7 p.m. in Culbertson Auditorium. The public is invited to attend this free event.

“George and Ira Gershwin have many popular songs that have remained strong despite the passing of time. Many major recording artists over the years have recorded their own versions of Gershwin songs; they are very popular and fun for all ages. Our students are excited for the performance, which is always a highlight in our year,” said Mark Clark, assistant professor of music.
