Sterling College successfully hosted its annual Warrior Welcome orientation for the incoming class of 2024, which took place across various campus locations from August 9 to August 21. The welcome event integrated new students into college life with a mix of academic and social activities.

“We are thrilled to welcome the class of 2024 to our campus with Warrior Welcome. It’s always exciting to see new students engage with the activities that we’ve prepared and start to form the bonds that will enrich their college experience at Sterling College,” said Hunter Morgan ’15, executive director of career services and student success.

The orientation featured the Service of Dedication, a Servant Leadership Luncheon, and diverse team activities for both student-athletes and non-athletes. Special events like the Highland Games, President’s Ice Cream Social, and the First Blast with laser tag and inflatables provided fun and relaxation for the new arrivals.

The orientation culminated with a series of welcome addresses and the College’s first chapel of the year, inspiring students for the academic year ahead. All new students participated in these foundational experiences, kickstarting their journey at Sterling College with enthusiasm and community spirit.

“The first chapel of the year is always a special time for reflection and connection. Our theme this year is Our theme, ‘Immovable,’ is drawn from our verse of the year, 1 Corinthians 15:58. Our theme will serve as a guiding light for spiritual life on campus,” Jose Carrillo, campus pastor.
