Sterling College named to U.S. News & World Report's Best Colleges list
U.S. News & World Report released their Best Colleges rankings on Tuesday, Sept. 9. Included for the second year in a row, Sterling College found themselves named at 67 on the Best Regional College – Midwest list.
“Fall is an exciting time of year at Sterling College. We just welcomed in a large freshman class, fall athletic events are well underway and good reports from faculty have been coming in. I am happy to add the honor of being named to two lists for best regional colleges from two national ranking systems. The year is off to a great start, and we expect good things this year,” said Scott A. Rich, president.
Sterling College scored highest in class size and student-to-faculty ratio. With 70 percent of classes being under 20 students and posting a 13-to-1 ratio for students-to-faculty, the College continues to back up its claim of small class sizes.
“We hear many comments from incoming freshman about how excited they are about our small class sizes. Not only are they ready to be in classrooms where they can receive individual attention, but they are also happy to have professors who take the time to know their names and care about their overall well-being,” said Dennis Dutton, director of admissions.
