Sterling College Homecoming begins Oct. 4
Beginning on Thursday, Oct. 4, alumni will travel back to Sterling College to experience the Homecoming 2018 festivities, many of which the community is invited to attend. Thursday night, beginning at 7:30 p.m., Sterling College will present the opening of “Big Fish” in Culbertson Auditorium. Friday’s festivities will include the Heritage Convocation and Alumni Awards Presentation at 10 a.m. in Culbertson Auditorium, A Conversation with President Scott Rich at 2:30 p.m. in Cornerstone in the Student Union, the Warrior women’s and men’s soccer games, Big Tent Friday Night (alumni and family hangout with snacks and yard games) at 6:30 p.m. on East Cooper Lawn, as well as the Theatre Afterglow Party at 10:30 p.m. in Upper Wilson Hall.

On Saturday morning beginning at 7:30 a.m., the community is invited to attend the Annual Pancake and Sausage Feed at United Presbyterian Church in support of the Lady Warrior basketball team, the Homecoming Parade at 9:45 a.m., the Homecoming Hangout and Tailgate beginning at 11 a.m. on East Cooper Lawn, and the Homecoming Coronation at 1 p.m. at Smisor Stadium.
Saturday will also include an Athletic Hall of Fame Reception at 11 a.m. in Studio 96, the Homecoming football game beginning at 1:30 p.m. against Ottawa University, a Postgame celebration at 4:30 p.m. in the Student Union, and a Theatre Cabaret at 6 p.m. in Upper Wilson Hall.
“Big Fish” will run Thursday-Saturday at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets are for reserved seating and can be ordered in advance online, purchased during Homecoming Check-In or at the Box Office at Homecoming Weekend. The Box Office will open at 6:30 p.m. on show nights and will open at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
There will be reunions for the following classes: 1958, 1968, 1978, 1985-1990, 2003, 2008, 2013, as well as the Golden Club (Classes of 1965 and before). Reunions will be held at different times and places. Further information can be found at sterling.edu/reunions.
Sterling College alumni and guests can register at the Alumni Office from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, and on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. -- 1 p.m. on East Cooper Lawn.
