The Sterling College English Department invites students, faculty, and community members to experience an evening of language, poetry, and history at “Old English Night,” held at Clive’s Staples coffee shop on Thursday, October 17, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The event will feature interactive sessions led by Sterling College English students, who will demonstrate how to chant, write poetry, and translate texts from Old English to Middle English to Modern English.

Guests will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the rich linguistic history of the English language while enjoying coffee, cider, and assorted treats.
