Sterling College’s Best in the Midwest hat trick
Each fall, colleges and universities across the country anxiously await The Princeton Review’s list of Best Colleges. Successfully completing their hat trick, Sterling College was named to the Best Regional Colleges – Midwestern list for 2015.
“It is exciting to be named to The Princeton Review’s Best Regional Colleges list. This particular list is based on student surveys, so I am very happy to hear that our student body understands our commitment to their success. Not only do our faculty continually update curriculum in ways that adapt to the ever-changing work landscape that our graduates will be joining, they take time to learn about the personal lives of their students,” said Scott A. Rich, president.
The Princeton Review’s website quotes a student as saying professors “know each and every student as individuals and…want all of them to succeed.” Students also believe that the campus community is like a second family, stating “everyone on campus is like a brother [or] a sister.”
Sterling College increased their fire safety rating by one point again this year, making it 65. Other ratings include academics 74, financial aid 81, quality of life 73, and green 60*. The ratings are based on institutional data obtained from Sterling College in 2013-14 and/or student survey data. Scores are on a scale of 60-99. The criteria for each category is listed on The Princeton Review’s website at http://www.princetonreview.com/college/college-ratings.aspx.
