New employees join Sterling College
The Office of Admissions and Sterling College Online both have new staff this month. Kaylee Beutler ’14 joined admissions in late August as the visit experience coordinator, and Will Lewis joined SCO as an admissions counselor.
Beutler will plan and execute campus visit events, such as Preview Weekends, and assist Mackenzie McGuire ’14 in planning personal campus visits. She will also work with Carrie McGlynn, admissions counselor, in recruiting science-oriented students.
“Kaylee is a perfect fit for the admissions office. She was a stand-out student and works well with the faculty and staff of the College. Her experiences with the sciences will also be useful to our team as we build a broad base of knowledge in our office,” said Dennis Dutton, director of admissions.
Beutler, from Clay Center, Kan., graduated in May with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and the honors of cum laude and Kelsey Scholar. As a student she was a dorm chaplain and resident assistant for McCreery Hall. She was also active in Future Science Professionals of America, the Campus Activities Board and Praise Band.
As admissions counselor for SCO, Lewis will be in charge of recruiting new students and maintaining the student database for the organizational management and criminal justice administration programs. He graduated with a B.S. in Management with an emphasis in Sports Management from Oklahoma State University.
“Will is a wonderful addition to the online team. He’s a self-starter with a passion in helping people achieve their educational goals. Will has been assigned to recruit for our organizational management program as well as our new program in criminal justice administration and has already made great connections that will help these programs succeed,” said Piper Harding, director of SCO.
Lewis has been serving as director of football operations for the SC Warriors since 2013. He is responsible for team travel, eligibility and daily operations. He is also working on his master’s in sports administration through Belhaven University. He and his wife, Miranda, live in Hutchinson with their daughter.
