Frank Named KCAC Special Teams Player of the Week
Wichita, Kan. – The Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference announced this afternoon that Sterling safety Brock Frank was named the KCAC Special Teams Player of the Week. Frank earned Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance during the Warriors 35 to 10 victory over Bethel College. The 6-0, 175 pound senior returned two punts for 94 yards. Frank's longest return was for 81 yards and a touchdown. The victory over Bethel puts the Warriors at 4 and 1 in the KCAC, 4 and 3 overall.
Frank also started at safety on the Sterling defense that allowed less than 200 yards of total offense to Bethel in the game. During the game, Frank also recorded six tackles and recovered a blocked field goal.
So far this season, Frank has been a threat as a punt returner for the Warriors. In only five return attempts, Frank has collected 151 yards for an average of 30.2 yards per return and has scored one return touchdown.
Sterling will take the field again on Saturday at Ottawa University in Ottawa, Kansas. If the Warriors were to beat Ottawa, Sterling would move into first place in the KCAC. Game time is 6:00 pm.
