Federwisch awarded 2018 Sterling College Young Alumni Award
Jonathon Federwisch ’05 was awarded the Sterling College Young Alumni Award on Oct. 5, 2018, for demonstrating excellence in his career, service to others and loyalty to Sterling College. Presented at the Alumni Banquet and Award Ceremony, Federwisch was celebrated along with Distinguished Service Award winner Paul Buchanan ’53 and Alumni Award winners Phil ’85 and Laila (Ingalls) Brownlee ’85.
Federwisch, a teacher and coach at Victor Valley Union High School, graduated from Sterling College in 2005. Federwisch and his wife, Johanna, are strong supporters of missions trips in their home church and at Sterling College. The two of them have helped lead multiple trips to Mexico with their youth group helping (re)build churches and homes, hosting VBS through the local church, and street ministry. They have also financially supported the Sterling College mission trips for ten years partnering with over 150 students and 40+ international trips. They currently reside in Apple Valley, CA.
The Young Alumni Award is presented to alumni or former students of 15 years ago or less who has demonstrated excellence in career, service to others, and loyalty to Sterling College.
