All of the events and the Selections are examples of the CDFL's efforts to provide football scouting opportunities for players to continue their careers beyond college.

The goal of the CDFL is to provide exposure and opportunity for post collegiate football players and free agents from around the world. These invited players have attained an elite level skill set and will present themselves to professional football organizations for review.

An estimated 400 players will participate in four CDFL sponsored bowl games at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium. The third annual, "Euro- American Challenge" will be held on Friday evening 12/19, 7 p.m. kickoff in a "USA vs. Europe" game format. The past two years the USA "Team America" team won, 34-7 in Warsaw, Poland, and 24-7 last year in Myrtle Beach. On Saturday 12/20, the sixth annual "D3 Senior Classic" will be played at 12:30 p.m. as part of a tripleheader. This game features 2014 graduating senior All-Americans in a North vs South format. The fourth annual "D2 vs. NAIA Senior Bowl" will be the second game at 3:00 p.m., as top seniors from these two levels battle against each other for bragging rights. The D2 leads the series 2-1. This will be followed by the fifth annual, "FCS Senior Scout Bowl" at 7:30 p.m., a senior showcase game with a North vs. South format. All games in the "2014 National Scouting Showcase", will be broadcasted live on the www.playCDFL.com website.

"I can't wait for Antonio and Reggie to play in this game. I think it could be fantastic for both of them," said Head Coach Andy Lambert, "I am very proud of each of these guys and the way their lives on and off the field have developed. What an honor to have coached them."

In their two years as Warriors for Sterling, Reggie Langford and Antonio Bray have excelled with every snap. During their time on the field, Sterling has compiled a 16-7 record which includes a 9-3 record during the 2013 season where Sterling captured their first KCAC Football Championship in school history.
