The SC Symphonic Band serves as the primary instrumental ensemble on campus. Incoming students audition for placement within the ensemble, which is open to music and non-music majors. The group performs selections from the traditional wind ensemble repertoire, as well as sacred and popular arrangements. The SC Symphonic Band performs two concerts each semester. Members of the ensemble also serve as a pep band for home SC football games.
SC Jazz Band
The SC Jazz Band is a full big band that performs a variety of standard and contemporary jazz and stage band charts. The ensemble is open to students of all disciplines and is the primary touring ensemble in the instrumental music department.
Small Instrumental
Ensembles Based upon student involvement, various instrumental ensembles are available for participation. Ensembles could include: Brass Ensemble, Flute Trio, String Quartet, Drum Line, Saxophone Quintet.
