Dr. Brad Nix, associate professor of music at Sterling College, has been asked by Shawnee Press to serve as a clinician at their annual Music in the Mountains Conference in August 2012.

Nix was chosen to help with the conference held in the Poconos in response to the popularity of his compositions that are currently being sold through Shawnee Press.  He has over 20 pieces in their catalogue.

Music in the Mountains is attended by choir directors and musicians who want to hear the newest musical selections available in the Shawnee Press catalogue. Nix, along with several other clinicians, will help showcase the newest releases. He will be working as a choir director and accompanist for performances throughout the week. Also in August, he will travel to Minneapolis where he will be a clinician for Schmitt Music where he will perform similar duties at that conference.
