Tuesday, August 16, 2011

Pete Manely, exercise science department chair and certified athletic trainer (ATC) at Sterling College, has been named the President Elect of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Athletic Training Association.  Manely is also the President of the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) Athletic Training Association.

Manely oversees the Athletic Training Major that is housed under the Exercise Science Department at Sterling College.  Recently, the Athletic Training Program at Sterling received a ten year accreditation from the Commission on Accrediting Athletic Training Education (CAATE).  Manely’s passion for students and leadership played a big role in the SC Athletic Training Program receiving the ten year accreditation from CAATE.

The NAIA Athletic Training Association and the KCAC Athletic Training Association will both now benefit from Manely’s passion and leadership as Manely begins his leadership roles in both organizations.
