Sterling, Kan. – Jillian Linnebur, a junior from Colwich, Kansas, was named Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) Women’s Track Athlete of the Week for her performance at the Friends University Enduro Classic meet on Saturday.

Linnebur won the women’s 800 meter with a time of 2:23.49 as well as ran a leg on the 4x400 meter relay that finished second. Linnebur’s time in the 800 was 4.2 seconds faster than she had ever run before.

“Jillian ran an amazing race and got out and established early like she needed to do,” said head track coach Jack Dillard. “It was exciting to see her get the victory and even more exciting to see she ran as fast as she did.”
